Meet Our Staff


The staff at CCLC is dedicated to providing the highest quality of early childhood education and care to each and every student.  Our staff maintains current First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions Certification and participates in annual staff development training. This training relates to topics of child growth and development, health, safety, positive guidance techniques and developmental teaching strategies.

 

 

 

CCLC Director: Joy Hettich

Joy is the founder and director of Centennial Christian Learning Center.  She graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  She has been teaching elementary classes since 1977 and early childhood classes since 1985.  Joy has volunteered with Native American Missions(teaching bible school), teaches Sunday school, campcounselor, children’s church teacher, and teacher trainer.  Joy enjoys spending time reading, baking, walking outdoors, and of course playing with her grandchildren.

Office Manager: Hilarie Cole

Hilarie has been with CCLC/CCWC since May of 2010.  She moved to Colorado with her husband Wyatt in October of 2009 from Sioux Falls, SD.  She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2006 with her Bachelor’s of Music Education.  From 2006-2009, she substitute taught K-12th grade in the Sioux Falls School District and taught 6th-12th grade instrumental music in the West Central School District.  Her husband Wyatt works as an RN in the surgery department at the Veteran’s Hospital in Denver.  Hilarie enjoys spending time with her puppy Westin the Westie, skiing, reading, shopping, hanging out at coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.

Office Assistant: Gloria Macias

Gloria has been with CCLC since June 2009.  She also works as a chiropractic assistant at Otto Chiropractic.  She has been attending Cherry Creek Wesleyan Church for many years and has experience teaching Sunday School and is CCWC’s Serve Leader.  Gloria enjoys volunteering at Excelsior Youth Center, working with loving hands, and homeschooling her 16 year old son.

Lead Preschool Teacher: Brenda Stark

Brenda is our lead preschool teacher and has been with CCLC for 7 years.  She has been teaching in early childhood education since 1983.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

 

Teacher: Tesh Ayele

Tesh has been with CCLC for two and half years and is originally from Ethiopia.  She holds an Associates degree and is planning to attend bible school and take classes in childhood education.  Tesh was an elementary school teacher for sixteen years in Ethiopia.  She has also worked as a children’s group leader for Children’s World Day Care and Calvary Temple.  More than any other job, Tesh enjoys teaching and taking care of children.  Her passion in life is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  She currently received an opportunity to go back to Ethiopia after 15 years, where she will help set up women’s ministries.

Teacher: Angela Page

Angie joined the CCLC team in September of 2010 and works in the preschool classroom.  Before coming to CCLC, she worked for 15 years with in the Aurora Public Schools as an Orientation Mobility Assistant.  During that time she worked with visually impaired students teaching independent travel skills and providing classroom support to students through out the district.  Outside of work Angie loves being a mother to two sons and a wife.  She also enjoys crafting of any kind, creative memories, sculpting, drawing, and painting.

Teacher: Lana Servo

Lana has been with CCLC for 3 years and teaches in the preschool room.  She hold a Bachelors in Behavioral Science and a minor in Elementary Education.  She is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in General Psychology.  In her spare time she enjoys both exercising and baking.

 

Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher: Cammy Wiitting

Cammy is our lead pre-kindergarten teacher, assistant director, and has been with CCLC for 8 years.  Before coming to CCLC, Cammy worked as a lab technician, medical assistant, and has taught pre-kindergarten for 20 years. Cammy enjoys reading, bible study, going to the gym, and spending time with her 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Teacher: Kristin Ball

Kristin has worked for CCLC for 2 years and currently teaches in the pre-kindergarten room.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama and hopes to start taking classes to receive her teaching certification this summer. Kristen enjoys spending time with her 5 year old son, reading, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends.

Lead Kindergarten Teacher: Ruth Reiley

Ruth is our lead kindergarten teacher and has been with CCLC for 4 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and has extensive experience working and teaching in early childhood education.  She has run a home daycare, taught Sunday School at her local church, and taught at both public and private schools for many years.  Ruth is very involved at her local church where she is a member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Hospitality Team, and sings in the choir.  In her spare time Ruth enjoys being apart of her book club, bunko group, and tutoring.

Teacher: Lauretta Hayes

Lori has been with CCLC for 5 years and currently teaches in the kindergarten room and helps out with the afternoon program. Before coming to CCLC, Lori spent 30 years working for AT&T where she spent many years taking both managerial and technical classes.  Lori is married to her high school sweetheart and has three grown children and two grandchildren.  She loves crafts, creating beautiful stained glass, and knitting.
